Hawaiian Corporate Social Impact Excellence Award

The Hawaiian Corporate Social Impact Excellence Award provides recognition for an organisation that has achieved outstanding results through key initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to excellence in corporate social impact.

Entry to this Award is open to all organisations across the corporate, government, community and not-for-profit sectors in Australia that have a significant footprint in Western Australia.

In preparing entries, organisations should include details of one or more major corporate social impact initiatives, for example:

• Projects that have a direct, positive impact on a minority or disadvantaged group in the community.
• Positive whole of community events, fund raising or projects to support the not-for-profit sector.
• Cross-sector partnerships that benefit all stakeholders.

Please note: Organisations entering this category must provide examples of corporate social impact initiatives that are not related to the organisation's core strategy related to products, services, or customer focus.

Judging Criteria:

In determining the winner of this Award, judges will consider the extent to which initiatives described:

• Represent leadership excellence in corporate social impact;
• Have positively impacted on the organisation and its stakeholders, and
• Demonstrate business leadership for the industry in which the organisation is situated.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service WA (RFDS WA) were so grateful to have been nominated as the chosen charity by Horizon Power, and receive the $20,000 program package as part of the AIMWA Pinnacle Awards. We congratulate Horizon Power on their win in this Award category – Hawaiian Corporate Social Impact Excellence – as well as the Lifeline WA Workplace Wellbeing Excellence Award.

At RFDS an important Strategic Focus Area is building a Sustainable and High Quality Workforce. One of our dedicated initiatives is to enhance a ‘grow our own’ approach by providing strong career pathways and professional development opportunities for existing employees.
